50 yrs old 6yrs as teller.Job open for for new accts/loan processer.Should I bid? Very uncertain and afraid.?

My brain doesn't work as well as it did when I was younger.I wonder if I can still learn something new and different. And I do like the job I have now.Pay would be just a bit more than I make now. Help me out- Anyone been in similar quandry? How did it work out for you? THANKS for the help.

Answer:
A few years ago, I went from warehouse floor to inventory controller. I don't work there now, but I'm glad I went for it.

Better to have tried.than to never have tried at all.

If you don't get it, you have the personal satisfaction of having attempted it, as ooposed to seeing someone else get it that you KNOW you could do better than.
do it
never be stagnant.
Why not give it a try?
If you like the job you have now .. and this other one doesn't pay much more . then why are you having such a hard time deciding ? .. Sounds like you feel comfortable where you are and nervous about making a change. If that is the case , stay where you are. Good Luck ! :)
