Contacting hiring staff after job interview 2 weeks later?

I was interviewed for a job on May 4, 2007. The interview went really well and the hiring professional informed me that she'll contact me with her decision the week of May 14th. Well today is the 20th of May and she still hasn't contacted me. So, I was just wondering whether, and thus when, I should contact her again? Should I wait another week?

Thanks.

Answers:
I would call, it can't hurt anything and it will just show that you really want the job.
i would call, but i would also make sure that you be polite and thank them for the interview. just in case the person they select falls through, you would be fresh on their mind.
If you have an e-mail address, you might want to send an e-mail thanking her for the opportunity to interview with the company and inquiring whether there has been a hiring decision made.

You could call, but that can be a bit more sensitive. You want to phrase the same question so that it does not seem pushy. If a decision has not been made, you could go a step farther and ask if your application is still being considered.
sweetie you already have your answer. she did not call you.
Don't wait any longer. Call her ASAP.
You should have called her on or before the 14th. Be aggressive in persuing a job. It' shows you "Really" want it.
I think you should call and make inquiry as to the status of your job application. Sometimes the interviewer or the one in-charge of applications gets so busy and in the process forgets to inform the applicants as to the outcome of their application. Do not wait for another week, it might be that they have already hired someone and did not bother to inform you anymore.
you should contact her asap it shows u r really a serious person that follows up his job ... good luck
I would call them and ask if they made a decision or not. Also
tell them that you are still very much interested in the job and that you are still available for employment. I would also make a small pitch that not only that you still would be interested in the job but how you would benefit the company.
Yes you should always, always call even if you know 100 percent you didn't get the job. The reason is that sooner or later another job will open up in that company. If you worked in a firms Human Resource branch of a company and a position opened up, what would rather do: 1) start a whole new hiring process or 2) offer the job to someone you already know is qualified and you were impressed by the fact that they gave you a follow-up call and thanked them nicely for having considered you for the position. Most Human Resources will go with option 2, calling them back shows that you are intersted in the company, interested in the job and you are a motivated person.

Ninety nine percent of people who don't get a job don't call back and just assume they didn't get it, which is likely true. But not calling back is a mistake because it makes a really good impression on the HR person. Then there is that one in a hundred chance that the job wasn't filled because the HR person feels they haven't found someone suitable and is thinking about doing some more interviews, by calling back you show interest and motivation and then you'll hear, I'm glad you called, I was just about to call you and tell you we decided to hire you.
