What is the best CV format?

What would be the best format to send a CV in...
Word document or .pdf ?

Answers:
.pdf unless the company or educational institution specifically asks for a Word document.

It will also display just as you designed it. Also, unless someone has some skills, they will most likely not be able to modify your document.
