What to do? i just started a new job and found out from ppl in the office that the girl that was working befor

me quit her job b/c the boss was flirting with her and constantly asking her out
what should i do? how do i know it wont happen to me?
or do i just have a bad coworkers?

Answer:
If it happens and you do not want to go out with him you tell him very clearly but polite: No, thank you.
Should he not respect that you need to contact HR right away to protect your rights and yourself.

But until all that happens just don't worry and work. It could be all gossip and you should not care about that.
Wait and see how it goes for the first few weeks.
ur extremely hideous so u dont have to worry about it
First thing you should know is that the fuel for gossip is willing ears. If you'll listen, they'll tell you all the crap and more. Don't pay attention to it. Do your job.

The second thing is that he will not approach you if you're not approachable that way. If he does, and he's a real creep, quit or file a complaint.

Be wise, my friend.

Very sound advice, Sweet Bee
There is always office gossip. I would not worry about it unless it happens. If it does you can sue him for sexual harrasment and get a hefty sum of money.
Ask HR for the employee handbook which states policies that the company abides by. Usually there is a sexual harassment clause in it. Any person in authority, using authority as an intimidation, whether it be inappropriately flirting, asking you out, putting pressure on you in any manner that is deemed inappropriate should be reported to HR so they may keep a record in order to build a case. HR is there to protect as well, and if they are in cahoots with the boss, and do not protect you, you may never have to work again after you file that sexual harassment suit and win. If I were you I would be very wary, do nothing that encourages this person, and in the meantime, keep looking for other employment. Not many people really like to sue, or go through the pain and effort of doing so. Not many people women can stand that pressure and inappropriate behavior from a boss either. Run Forest, run.
For starters dont assume.

Secondly, wait until it happens, then turn it around and get yourself a promotion out of it, or go public with it and make sure it never happens to anyone else again.
At the first sign of anything flirtatious you tell him your not interested if it continues talk to his wife about it, no wife make sure your never alone in the office with him and if he goes to far get him for sexual harassment.no job is worth that hassle don't let this upset you keep your head up your better than that bums B.S. !
You need to give off the "don't even think about going there" vibe just in case.
Work hard, nonetheless, and if he does start flirting with you, go directly to his boss, one position higher than him, whether that is the district manager or just the corporate headquartes and contact the human resources department of you company and file a sexual harrassment case against him. Whether you like your job or not depends on whether you quit, even after he is fired or not.
Recognize gossip when you hear it.
