How to I get movitated to get another job?

Well, I'd be motivated by wanting to be able to pay my bills and have money to save. It can be overwhelming, but take it a step at a time. Maybe work on your resume, then make a list of places to apply, then start going around.

You just got to get up and do it. you have to work for everything in life if you want the finner things in life GET UP AND GET A JOB!
lay out all your bills, a picture of all the things you want in life and line them up.. then figure out how to pay for them.
If your like most people you wont until your back is against the wall, and you are forced into action.
Being laid off has shaken your confidence. Did your old employer have that much of a hold over you?
I would think that things such as Bankruptcy, Losing everything, and not letting the company that laid you off rule your life would be plenty of motivation.
Well, what are your options?
1. Sit home and have no job.
2. Collect unemployment
3. Go do something.
I shall share a word of wisdom that someone once told me:
Eat an elephant one bite at a time.
Break down what you need to do in small, attainable goals. For example, post your resume on monster.com and the other job sites. Network with friends. On another day, go walk into some businesses and ask them if they are hiring.
It is only overwhelming when you try to do it all at once.

are you broke yet? just decide to find another job- pick a day and go apply - tell yourself that you want a new job & that you will get it and it will be a piece of cake--
I'VE BEEN OUT SINCE JUNE. I find a empty refrigerator & collectors call every day a great motovator..
Unless you are being supported by someone else, you will soon run out of money. The lack of money will:
Make you go on a crash diet
Live by candlelight and then eventually total darkness.
Cook your food in a firepit in the backyard.
Move from where you are now to a new apartment building, most likely The Maytag condos or the Kenmore Heights. (cardboard box)
You'll be able to smell your neighbors.
Showers will be few and far between thus your neighbor will be able to smell you.

Getting a job will:
* keep the utilities on in the place you are now living.
You'll be able to eat a hot meal and take a hot shower.
You'll meet new people. One of those people may be your new best friend.
You'll have a sense of pride and accomplishment and self-worth.
You develop new skills and hone the old ones, making you more valuable
The only time you smell your neighbors is when they are BBQ'ing
Is that motivation enough? :) Hang in there. Wake up each day knowing this is the first day of the rest of your life. How do you want to spend it. I know that's cliché but its true.
