Answer:
The U of Phoenix is a total scam.

Google search: University of Phoenix 60 Minutes CBS.

You may as well light your money on fire.

I would never hire a CPA or a CFO from the U of PHX. In fact, I wouldnt even ask them what TIME it was unless I could double check for myself.
If you can afford the Univeristy of Phoenix's online classes, why do you need to work?
yeah its a good idea
I could never get any straight info from them. However, if you contact them they will call you repeatedly, trying to get you to enroll. They're almost as bad as scientologists in that regard. Be wary. Use a throw away email address and don't give them your phone number.
I have no affliation with this university. But i can tell you that Univ of Phoenix was one of the first college programs online, over 10 yrs ago.
They also play an important role on U.S. military installations worldwide. And since higher education is expected for promotion within the military, you can bet there are lots of GIs using their programs.
I do believe there are far more worthless online degrees but I think you'll find Univ of Phoenix more widely accepted.
Before you go with them, check all the universities in your state/area and see what long-distance learning programs they offer. Many community colleges are now aligned with major universities.
Good luck.
as a UOP Student let me tell you that it is definitely a good idea. I am working to my BA in business management. I have had an extant experience with UOP and I know feel that I have a different insights into how the world really works. Absolutely get your degree at UOP
