Try any non-profit. I'm sure they can use the help.
Go to the guy that does your taxes. He'll know you or your family. Tell him what you majored in and ask if it would be possible to job shadow and see what he says. Mention that you would prefer an internship but job shadowing is just as good. It will give you experience and a good reference. Try lots of accounting firms, go every where you can and just straight out ask. You need to get your experience some where and they had to start some where too right? So they should know where you are coming from. Good luck! I feel your pain : ) LOL
