Whats would be the best reply for question "say something about yourself" in a interview room?

Answer:
This should not be viewed as giving your interviewer personal information about yourself. In an interview, your job is to sell yourself (your skills, personality, etc.), not tell your life story.

When answering this question, focus on your academics and experience. The interviewer is looking for a quick overview of your career and your academics. An easy way to uncover yours is to list your accomplishments and then think of which skills it took to do them. Try something like this: "My first job was as an encoder at ABC Corporation, but I was promoted after just two months. I doubled reports turnaround time in our department during my first quarter.blah, blah, blah."

But most importantly, be sincere and authentic.
"I want your job"

Don't say "I'm a people person"

Say "I'm a self starter" "I have a passion for excellence and will not settle for second best"
In responding to the, "say something about yourself", the interviewer wants to know a little about you and then more about how you became interested in the position you're being considered. Try to keep your response at or under two minutes. You'd be surprised how much information you can share in two minutes or less.
Be honest, not pretentious, and try to tell something unusual or different, but not too different. Keep it related to the company and the job. Don't use cliches. Don't talk for more than a minute or two on this question. It is used as an ice breaker. They'll ask you about the specific stuff they really want to know.

You want to make a statement how you are a good match for whatever they are looking for-nothing personal.

For example;

In sales: "I am an outgoing, self-starter that enjoys working in a team environment".

Customer Service: "I am an organized individual that is driven for 100% customer service".

Phone/Receptionist: "I am an energetic, friendly multi-tasking individual with strong word processing/data base skills.

I think you get the idea..
I have taken several interview courses. Basically they recommend you prepare a "commercial" to sell your self. Make it no more than 2 to 3 minutes long. State your experience that applies to the job your seeking, what you feel are your strongest attributes, and why you would benefit the company over someone else. I too am looking for a job, and I know it is tough. Good luck to you.
