Should I focus more on making money or my undergrad at 34 years old? Will a degree help?
and I won't stop it's just that I am wondering will a degree have more economic impact than going into business for myself? I have been in the IT field for the past 6 years and nothing to do with Finance I'm afraid. Please be easy with the jokes.
Answer:
Get the degree.
No jokes here at all. I started my undergrad at 27 and finished at 31. I will be starting a masters soon. (By the way I'm over 35). I was studying my undergrad there was something very noticeable, while the majority seemed to be young kids in their degree, the fact was there was easily 30 percent in all my classes who were over 25 and 10 percent who were over 40.
Your earning potential in the long run will be greater if you go back to school now. Having the degree will open up unexpected doors, if you find that real estate is not your thing, you still have the degree and can go back and use it in other ventures.
Take one class per semester and pursue the other deal.you don't need a degree to be successful, but they are good to have--esp. when you are this close
