What is required to transfer a comm. D.L. to CA.?

I have a commercial driver license in the state in which I live in presently and am wondering what CA. requires to transfer.

Where can I look on the web? I have already tried the state web site but did not find anything I didn't already know.

I was told that I would need to start all over again(testing).

Answer:
Go to http://www.dmv.ca.gov/dl/dl_info.htm#250. for all the forms and fee schedule.

Here is brief info from the DMV site:
- Visit a DMV office (make an appointment for faster service)
- Complete application form DL 44 (An original DL 44 form must be submitted. Copies will not be accepted.)
- Give a thumb print
- Have your picture taken
- Provide your social security number. It will be verified with the Social Security Administration while you are in the office.
- Verify your birth date and legal presence
- Provide your true full name
- Pay the application fee
- Pass a vision exam
- Pass a traffic laws and sign test. There are 36 questions on the test. You have three chances to pass.(Sample Test)

Good luck.
Just go to DMV and apply for a residential license. Not sure if they "transfer", because the license number and everything follow a different scheme.
All you will need to do is go into the DMV there. Take mail from your new address, like bills and such, with you. Make sure you have 2-3 different mail items. Also take you're current license. They don't just transfer your license. The numbering system in CA is different. They may also require you to take an their eye exam. But call ahead a verify anything you may need. Typically 2 forms of ID are required as well. Unless you're ID is expired you should not have to completely redue your license. You're not renewing or applying as a brand new driver, you're already licensed, you just need to make it legal for CA.
Google.
