do the best of my knowledge, it benifits college students who are in need of money for tuition, books, lodging, etc. depending on the income of the family.
FAFSA is a government program for borrowing money for college. It is available to anyone as long as the government finds that you need assistance in paying for college. It is not free moneoy though. You have to pay the money back 6 months after you graduate.

It helps pretty much everyone accept for students who are single, don't have children, are passed their sophomore year and have parents that make a decent living. I've taken notice in this considering all of my friends received help, but I got $0 financial aid and it was because of all of these factors. Sorry if you meet the criteria because you won't be receiving any help.
