A job in a spanish museum? Another great use of the taxpayers money for you bl**dy students, was the media studies course full?
Become a Knight(ess) righting wrongs and tilting at windmills and go and live in La Mancha!
It all depends what she is interested in. If all else fails she could teach but will need to do a PGCE degree first (will take another year)
Ignore all these people - most employers don't care what degree you do, they care about you doing something you enjoyed. Spanish is useful, as quite a few corporations want you to be able to speak a second european language. Carys should do something that she is interested in, but she could apply anywhere really - lawyers, financial firms - not just academia. Regards,

Suneel.
A translator?
She could emigrate to spain and either become a english teacher there or be a tour rep
Spanish-speaking tour guide in London.
Realistically, if she has no career in mind, pretty much anything (employers look at graduates as fresh meat).

Or teaching; history has very few uses other than that, unless she wants to go the MA/PHd, write a book route which I doubt is sensible. She could do EFL teaching work - it pays minimum wage I think - to Spanish foriegn students, but that's very seasonal - and the season's about to end.

Good for her for doing what she enjoyed though, many people struggle through uni doing something they hate (comp. sci. always a good one for this) to find absolutely no jobs when they graduate.
She can try to apply to the Spanish embassy , Work in the United Nations
Why are you asking other people who don't know your friend what she should do? She should do a job that she is interested in and that will have the influence of Spanish or history.
You haven't specified where your friend lives. If she lived in London, she could get a job in any of the companies there. Probably starting as a Secretary P/A to get some job experience. There are lots of bilingual jobs there. She could also register with some on-line agencies.

If she likes teaching modern foreign languages, she could do a P.G.C.E. But, she needs offer two languages (English not included).

It's very difficult to find a job outside London where languages are taken seriously, but there are some (not many) I also speak Spanish. I've managed to do some marketing research, teaching, translations. It hasn't been easy. I wish I had gone to London.

There are Spanish agencies on the Internet, if she would like to live and work in Spain.

It depends what she likes do to with her life.
Congratulations! He can now work in a call centre with all the other post grads!
