OK their are many way to get started so here is how you can go
you can get a wholesale licensed check your state to see what you need to do to get one and find to see if your state has any local ones and purchase wholesale to resell.
you can garage sell -yard sell for this you really need to know what your buying ( i say have a nack for it)
you can find dollar store or wholesale to the public etc
drop shipping this is a easy but also risky way to sell if your doing like eBay reason is that you first are not guaranteed that after the sell is over the item is in stock so you have then to either tell them to wait tell it back in stock-refund-or sub statute all their choice.
Also it take a while to get it shipped you must let them know that you are drop shipping your item when selling on eBay you do not if you have your own web sight a good positive because it is common when having your own web sight also most drop shipper DUE RE CURE A WHOLESALE LICENSE
whole sale license in my state they are really easy to get just make sure your report your state tax
