How do you like being a truck driver?

Looking into a job as a CSRT or Central Refrigerated driver, they pay for the training, but how much time is spent away from home?

Answer:
my hubby owns his own truck and trailer and we are leased to a company out of Seattle. He is gone 2 to 3 weeks at a time.
It is great. I drove for a year. Usually they like for you to be out a minimum of 30 days BUT will want you back on the road in about 2-3- days. And they prefer you stay out longer than 30 days.

Some companies do have programs where they guarantee you to be home every weekend. So check into than if staying out is a problem.

Not very good if you have a family but great for a single person or husband / wife team
