Does anybody here exp. to be cashier, and got short in the cash register?

Answer:
Companies usually have a policy on what happens. Usually its that the employee makes up the difference and can get disciplined for poor performance in cash handling. However they can only deduct 10% of your salary. by law, to make up the shortfall and this usually causes issues as when you refuse to pay more which is your right they dismiss you for poor performance as they cant have staff members not making up the difference.
That was my title at Baskin-Robbins when i worked there. I was sometimes short and the manager of the shop always threatened to fire me anyway if it constantly continued. So, I quit the job before he fired me.
