Is it easy for a new R.N. graduate from a comm.college to get a job?
Answer:
Most definitely! There's a national shortage of nurses right now. We are even bringing in foreign nurses that are difficult to understand by giving them special Visas and work permits. You should have no problem. Make sure you get a sign-on bonus, which is offered to RNs right now. In California, the sign-on bonus is about $2000-5000 as long as you stay one year (or two depending on contract).
R.N.'s are in very high demand. Should not be a problem.
If you are in the health care field you can get a job anywhere. There is a huge shortage.
Their is a strain on the nursing world that has not let up. a glut of jobs and fewer and fewer US candidates. Many companies are importing Rn's from the Philippines and Pakistan. it's a wide open field. Go a google search for hospitals/medical centers in your area and go directly to their website. Most will have a whole section for nursing jobs.
Good Luck!
