If you know someone in a doctor's clinic or nursing home, you may get accepted as an intern. Having taken two classes in billing at the local community college, I would regretfully say your chances are about as good as walking on the moon.
This sounds discouraging. I'm sorry. It's a fabulous field, but coding out for maximum receipts is a demanding job.
If you need to, try to get a doctor's office to sponsor you for the 2 or 3 classes.
Search for jobs on some of the biggest job boards like Yahoo Hotjobs,Careerbuilder and Monster. You can apply for jobs and upload your resume on these job boards. You can also search for jobs on Craigslist.. Since, Craigslist allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website.
