What tips can I give someone who is going to a job interview and is nervous?

Be honest. this is very important and don't be afraid to ask them to repeat the question if needed. Remember they are taking notes not because your answer is wrong or bad but so they can record what you are saying to review later. Be neat in appearence. It doesn't matter the type of job you are appluying to. And remember think before you speak. Its ok to pause. Better to think it through for a few seconds first.
remember to do your homeowrk. Look up the company on the web. They will want to know why you want to work there. Look at the job posting. remember what it asked for. that's where their questions will focus on.

It sounds silly but just be your self. After a huge list of job interviews the most successful ones where the ones that I just took lightheartedly. My theory is: if you give the impression that you'd be fun to work with as well as good at the job then you've got a much better chance.
Alternatively give them something to remember. I had a call for a interview when I didnt have time to change from a weekend away so had to go in shorts and flip flops, I didnt get the job but managed to get a second interview!
