Minor's just can't work past midnight.

Yer gonna be doing some mopping.
well every state has differnt laws when it comes to that so u would have to look that up, but tell then u cant stay that late cause your a student or find another job that lets you out earlier
well in Ohio minors have to get a work permit. The permit should specify the hours you are allowed to work. Here you get permits at the school board. However I do believe summer or non-school hours may be different. hey i found some info from cali for ya! Hours of Work

Don't do it. You'll regret it the rest of your life. Study and do your homework. Get a lot of rest. Get a new job.
Take care,
Jen
that's not illegal, it is called slavery, abuse of power and work capacity
it depends on local law. Most states restrict minors to work past 10 o'clockish on weekdays.
no its not illegal. most states have midnight as the curfew time.
Not illegal, but not the smartest move either. Tell them you can not do that and find another job at Maccas or Burger King or somewhere that caters for younger employees...
No dude, u have school n stuff, and its illegal report them or talk about it to someone.
ok Minor Labor Laws of America state that no minor shall be allowed to work after certina hours on school weeks, and no more then certain hours durning the week. Yes it is illeagel, but it is one of those laws that is kinda looked away from. I know that because i did the exact same thing, unless u have a real strict restaraunt ur fine, and its not you who will get into trouble, but the establishment would be held responsible
When I managed a fast food place, I could not allow my 16 year old employees to stay past 10pm on school nights, 11 on other nights.
check with the state labour board and most important your family..
You would have to check with your local employment board.
But may I suggest that instead of finding out if it is illegal, why not just communicate with the employer if you do not want to work those hours and if they are required, then find a different job that fits your schedule better.
Don't know about there, but in texas, 10pm is the max!!
You would have to check your state's laws. There are no federal guidelines for hours or time limits or age of employees. Some states impose laws to protect minors however. In Nebraska, 15 and under can't work after 8:30, 16-18 can't work past 10:30. Check out California's laws for sure.
as long as you can show where you have been working. no it isnt by law. in my opion?
be happy you have a job
Yes and no. What you will need to do is have your manager sign a note saying that you were working on X date until X time and that you ARE returning from work, and have him sign his name, the name of the store and a number he can be contacted at.
This information will need to be provided if you are pulled over when you are driving home.
If you are driving willy nilly without a note from work OR a good reason, you can be fined by a cop.
curfew for minors in my state is midnight. there are minor rules, well laws, that they should comply to. BUT there are laws that usually say you can drive during "this time period" to or from a work/school/church function (again, those are the laws in my state). Ask your parents to help you out to see what the laws are in california with minors and curfew.
if u need themoney your state should give you a work pass. if they do make sure you do the right thing. because everyone need a job
I was a pizza delivery manager in CO. We couldn't let minors work past 10PM on a school night. You would have to check with your local authorities to be sure, but based on the responses I have seen so far, ten PM seems to be pretty standard.
Each state has different regulations for minor labor laws. For instance in my state, a person under 18 can only work until a certain hour of the night, unless their parent signs a waiver.
I'd contact the state labor board to find out the minor labor laws for your area. It sounds to me that they are not complying with those laws. Hopefully its simply that they don't understand the laws. If they do understand and are not complying then they are in big trouble!!
um yea and it should say that on your work permit that they should have. At my work they work me more days than im supposed to
i dotn think its illegal but im not sure it probally differs between state but from what ive been told its not illegal as long as it to school, a church event, or going to and from work so i hope its not illegal for u
