What takes place during a second interview?
Answer:
The word “interview” itself makes a person tense and nervous who needs to appear in the interview. It is normal human behaviour to become confused or get tensed but such things can be overcome with practice, learning from seniors and elders, thru own experience. At my time internet was not available. These days Internet is a rich source of information. U can learn many things about the interview by visiting the websites the links of which are given below. On some websites u will find questions also along with answers which are frequently asked and questions pertaining to ur requirement can also be found there provided u surf on them thoroughly and consciously. It will improve ur performance remarkably. If will infuse a high level of confidence in u. It will make u more frank and it will develop diplomatic qualities in u too. Overall, I would say that it will give an impetus to ur personality development. Ur specific requirement can also be met on these sites provided these are surfed thoroughly and consciously.

Another series of questions. However every second interview I have gone on, I was hired.
Good luck to you!
You have to get undressed and sing show tunes while standing on your head.
They are looking to see how honest you were in the first interview. Someone else will ask you the same question they asked you on the first interview and will have your answers on a piece of paper infront of them then they will mark the ones you answered the same and the ones your answers clashed. Also your manerism to see if you are just as nercous or calmer, and to see if everybody likes you or just the initial interviewer.
more questions about you and how you handel buisness-like things. You are competing against another candidate. Work hard to make a good impression.
I think you basically have the job, more like meeting with the person you interviewed with boss.

During a second interview you usually meet with a different person, such as a manager who is higher up. At this point it means that you impressed the first person you met with. The new interviewer will probably ask you similar questions from the first one. They will want to make sure that they are equally impressed with you.
In the case where you are meeting with the same person. It probably means that they either want to hire you or that they can not decide between you and someone else. If they want to hire you, they will probably take this opportunity to offer you the position and talk about salary and benefits. If they are trying to decide between you and someone else, the interviewer will be looking for you to distinguish yourself from the other person and prove how you would be better.
Sometimes that have you come back just to make sure that they were right in their first assessment of you. This is usually a good thing. Just be prepared. There are some great resources on monster.com.
The first interview is referred to as the informational interview. Where the HR manager tells you about the company, and describes the position to you. That person asks you ?'s about your resume/what you did at job abc and asks ?'s that are designed to show what character/work ethic you have. This sort of thing, is considered a way to weed out those that are not a good fit for the company.
After a 2nd interview, you will feel as if you have been grilled. The interviewer will ask you more specific ?'s. These ?'s are very situational, lots of times they will give you a senerio and ask you how you would handle it. Also, the 2nd interview is usually with a different person than the 1st interview, and can be with a panel of people.
Just b/c you get to the 2nd interview doesn't mean you will get the job, lots of companies have an indepth process that can take up to a month! Typical process for fortune 500 co. : phone interview, 1st, 2nd, w/ a panel, "day in the life", final interview.
Depending on the company's size and industry, making it to the 2nd interview AKA "the short list" is a big accomplishment.so congrats and good luck!
