How do people support themselves while unemployed?

I cut down my spending drastically. It takes very little money to live unless you have expensive rent in a large city. Cut out entertainment expenses like eating out, movies, games, and what not and you can live on almost nothing. Certainly no new snazzy clothes or ballet tickets. Moving in with friends or family can help if they're willing to put up with you. If you feel it is necessary, government assistance is more than enough to live on. Just remember to have health insurance of some sort, because falling sick without health insurance is about the worst thing that can happen to you financially.
Even a shitty job to get some income helps a lot too. Anyone can get a shitty job without much effort. Hell, if you can speak English you're already ahead of the game.

No one in this country should be forcefully "out of work" for 2 entire years. Sounds like its not "out of work" as much as it is refusing to "lower their standards". Either way it's pathetic, anyone in this country that honesty has the desire to get a job to help themselves has many opportunities to do so. It is a matter of swallowing PRIDE and taking something "below" you for a time. Even if you have to start at the bottom again, the only direction available is going up. Anything else is an excuse. Or you could become a minority, then the Govt. will just give you money.
if they feel they are unemployed and they are finding hard to find jobs then they should continue applying jobs without losing interest and start developing networking ..Networking of people .
