Need some advice?
Answer:
everything has a process--this sounds a little disorganized, maybe understaffed-it won't hurt to call again; also won't hurt to seek more than one job at a time to increase chance of quicker employment
Finding a job is a job. Call them back. Hopefully the HR people are not an indication of what the rest of the place is like.
call them back or maybe show up in person but I would continue to look elsewhere as well.
sounds to me as if she's giving you the run around try going to her higher up if it continues also you might want to think about working in an environment with someone of that nature remember you want to at least like what you do
I understand your frustration. The job search process can be annoying even if you do get the offer verbally. Nowadays, they do criminal/credit background checks and reference checks..etc. Or even drug tests before you can be confirmed to start.
I suggest you do call her back since you did say you needed the job and although HR can be maddening.hopefully it won't be an indicator of who you will be working for. In my current job, it took me a little over a month to secure my offer because of the firm being busy..slow HR process..and other factors, so be persistent. If you really need this job, go for it. It seems like you will get an offer in writing if all the checks come out fine. But, I also agree with the previous poster..and keep applying to other firms.
sorry to hear about your troubles with an unorganized HR department. I'm assuming you're hired, or at least will be if you jump through all the hoops. This being said, by all means, you shouldn't apologize for asking someone to do their job. be polite when you call back, but you run through everything you've sent back up to this point and ask if there is anything else, as you'd like to get started.
good luck.
Sounds to me that you are working with some really unprofessional people. My advice is to get your tri state-nursing license; there are a lot of well paying nursing opportunities out there. You might even be able to get a job based on the contingency that while you work you get your license. I am sure that with a valid VA nursing license and your work experience, you should be able to get a job and a license without a problem. Contact the major hospitals in the area directly.
Good luck
