My sister-in-law is applying for my job ! !?
Answer:
Just keep doing your job.
The company is more likely to give the job to a temp that has shown they can do it than hire someone off the street.
cat fight!
Sod The Job.
See my profile for an alternative.
tell her you really want it and be nice and all that stuff
I don't know what you should do, but that is foul. You are trying to help her and..
I can't even finish the statement. Is your boyfriend so dense that he would still give it to you?
Toss her resume!!
** happens.
it is her perfect right to do it.
you can be hurt but it would be worse if
someone else got it and she didn't even apply.
get over it. have her go in first and tell you all the
questions if she gets an interview. try to work together.
you can always get a different job.
if they were happy with you they will hire you
if not, they won't. it has nothing to do with her
she's not doing anything wrong.
She is a real BYOT*!! Give the application back to your boyfriend and have him turn it in.
First of all she is not your sister-in-law if you are not even engaged to your boyfriend - sheesh - stop jumping the gun and I would ditch the boy and his sister if he is not going to support you and choose his sister over you!
Who ever the best person for the position will get it. But if you choose the cat fight method, will you tape it?!? I'd really like to see that.
Next time, don't say anything. You both work in the same field and, let's face it, any job market is extremely competitive. Also, since you told her to apply for a position, she just did what you recommended, possibly misunderstanding which position you wanted her to apply for. Talk with her and ask her if that's the position she meant to apply for. If it is, well, may the best candidate win.
