Where is the best place to live in Edinburgh?
I'm also looking for a job in Design, CAD, New Product development, etc!
Does anyone know anything about it?
Answer:
If you run some searches on http://www.citylets.co.uk/ you'll get an idea of typical prices for accomodation. Other good sites for finding somewhere to live include http://edinburgh.gumtree.com/ and http://property.scotsman.com/
Bruntsfield, Morningside and Stockbridge are nice areas of the city to live in, and within a 30 minute walk of Princes Street, but they also have more expensive accomodation. In terms of average costs, a decent one-bedroom flat in a good part of the city will probably come to around £450-700pcm; a two-bedroom flat in similar areas will be around £550-800pcm.
A four-week bus pass for use on all Lothian buses costs £36 (see http://www.lothianbuses.co.uk/ for more details).
