About receptionist/Adm asst. job.?

how do you get that job if you weren't one before. (what do you put on resume)
1.)if you ARE one or KNOW one decribe the duties
---is the job hard, frustrating, easy, etc.
---do you really have to know how to type 40-60 wpm
--- what is filing about, is it hard
2.) do they train you when you get hired?
3.) is the interview tough?

Answer:
1) I love my job. It has it's challenging times, but mostly it's the best job I've ever had. Filing is common part of the job; it's soothingly meditative, actually. I SUGGEST you type that fast! It really does help!

2) Well, yes and no. There are processes that are different at every job, but one thing I love about this job is that it calls on many of my natural talent and the position is mine to make my own!

3) Again, depends on the place you want to work. For a ishtty and disorganized company, they'll be less interested in YOU and more interested in simply getting a warm body in the cube. But if you apply at a top-notch company where there is growth potential, prepare for several rounds of interviews.
Potential is one of the biggest selling points for an admin asst position. Are you willing to learn new techniques, are you interested in what the company does? Are you skilled enough to find plenty of work or are you the type who needs to be told what to do. An assistant is supposed to mirror the boss's goals, shadow his movements and business goals. So you'll need to come across productive and proactive.
Good luck..
