call in sick. legally, they can not fire you for being sick, so if i were you i would get some sort of documentation from the doctor saying you are sick just in case. but just be honest and tell the boss the truth. don't try to sound sick or make extra excuses, because bosses see through that. just say " Hey, I know I just started this job, and I really don't want to call in, but I have the flu and can not work. If there was any possible way that I could come in, I would, but I can't. I apologize for any inconvenience."
It never looks good to call in sick when you haven't been at a job very long. but if you are sick.. you can't help that!
If you are really that worried about it, go to work and they will see how sick you are and send you home. Tell them you may have the flu but you came in because you didn't want to call in at your new job. They will appreciate it, and then they will get you the hell outta there before you get everyone else sick!!

As long as, you don't have a fever and you aren't vomiting, suck it it up and go to work. Just be sure to load up on some Ibuprofen and Pepto-Bismol (for stomach flu) and you should be fine. If you do end up having to go home, your new boss will at least see that you made the effort to come in.
Call and tell your boss you can't go in because there is something wrong with your eyes, when they ask what is wrong with your eyes simply tell them.you can't see yourself going in today.
You can't help it if you're sick, hon. Just call in and tell the truth. Go in, if you think that will help.
