Work at home moms?
Do any of you know of any companies (legitimate) or websites that would offer opportunities to work from home? Any input on this matter would be highly appreciated.

Hi, it was cool to hear your story because I am in the same position as you. We are military from Robins AFB in GA. I am a stay at home mom with a 7 1/2 month old still nursing, while also a part time student and AF reservist. My hubby is active duty in communications. I had been looking around everywhere online for work at home jobs from the surveys to home assembly, etc, but none of them worked. It's hard raising a family on one military income. After a lot a research, I actually came across this healthcare company that offers work at home positions. I was a little skeptical, but they had great crudentials, so I applied for an interview and was accepted. They are the #1 discount healthcare benefits company in the country with 1.7 million members. The pay is great and you don’t have to sell or telemarket or have parties, which I thought was too good to be true. It’s just real work you would do in an office, except you do it at home. SInce I have so many other things going on with my baby, school and the reserves, I only work about 10 hrs/week. I basically answer emails and telephone calls. They also offer 401K after you've been with the company and immediate dental, vision, etc benefits for your whole family(that dependants don't get). They are registered with the Better Business Bureau as well as the US Chamber of Commerce. Just about all the major pharmacies, vision centers, as well as millions of providers accept them too. I pretty much came to think all work at home jobs were just a bunch of crap, but these guys are really great. They have really been a blessing to my family. I just started taking an at home course from US Career Institute. There are a lot of courses you can take and their payment plan is really reasonable. I am doing a medical transcription course that I can work from home via Internet companies (and local Drs) when i am finished. But there are other you can do too.

This is what I can suggest. Think about starting a web based business putting content related to your stay and experiences in the service. You can then put adsense to monitize. You can, of course, pick any subject.
Affiliate marketing is an easy thing to start as well. This type business does take lots of learning and hard work but you can do it if you put your mind to learning the ropes.

I've had a lot of experience over the past 3 years with this subject. I went through litereally 50+ different companies on the interent trying to make money while I was in college. There's sooo much crap out there and companies that promise you the world but deliver nothing but hype, it takes a while to seperate the crap from the genuine money making opportunities.
Now after sooo many disapointments I'm using a crowd called Data Entry Pro and it's now making me money (finally!) online.
Anyway, basically you sign up with them and then once your logged in you just fill in as many forms as you like in their members section and you get paid for each one. I get checks from them every 2 weeks each averaging around $250-$350. You could make more but I just use the site as an extra income stream aswell as my full time job so I only work on it for around an hour each night.

I've come across four legitimate opportunities whereby you can work from home. As far as I can tell however, these offers will not supplement a full time job income. You can definatly make some extra spending money on the side (as I have) through these sites and the best part of it is that you will never give these people a credit card number or money. It's as simple as joining and discontinuing participation if you discover it's not for you. I own my own business working at home with a few programs.
Having been in your situation a little while back I looked into a LOT of programs, some of which were scams (a good many), some of which paid but not enough to make it worth your time, and a very few that actually worked.
Be wary of programs that want you to pay a large start-up fee. Read thoroughly their terms of service and make sure they are going to be offering you a service worth that fee.
In resources I will list a few of the companies that I've found to actually pay worth the time I put into them. Keep in mind that not every program will work for you and be selective. Track the results you get from each program.
In your case you want to make sure that the position isn't particular to a certain area. This way if/when your husband PCSes you can keep at the same job and not have to start from scratch.
