Do you guys like or hate your job, please specify why?

I got a degree in Business Admin. with a concentration in Accounting, started working and realized I don't care for the job. So I am reevaluating things and thinking of changing careers. For the most part I hear people do completely different jobs from what their majors were in college anyways. I am curious to know if you guys like or hate your jobs and the reasons why?

Answers:
I love my career path (it pays a lot) and I happened to just fall into it. I majored in Economics.

I am a Market Compliance Analyst. What I do is review trades done by stock or bond traders to make sure there is nothing shady going on (like insider trading or any other trading violation). Because of the Enron, Woldcom, and Tyco scandals, a lot of companies are increasing their compliance personnel to avoid being under investigation by the SEC.

I think being a Compliance Analyst will be a nice deviation from Accounting. The more years you have, the more you understand the stock market or Fixed Income (bond) market, and the more money you make. Make sure you go for "Market Regulation" Compliance and not "Member Regulatory" Compliance which is more about Firms being in compliance with books/records, net income, etc,

My job is ok. I don't hate it , it is easy selling or guest retrieving your tickets. I want to be a personal trainer. Help people get into shape. Get up what ever time i want to get up. Make about $30 an hour that is me.
I have 3 jobs that I like and hate at the same time.
Job one is contractor for the post office ~ I like it because I drive alone (and it's a beautiful drive in the spring, summer and fall) and have no boss tho look over my shoulder. I hate it because it can get boring and if the roads are bad it's an ugly drive.

Job 2 is EMT ~ I like it because I get to help people ~ I hate the politics.

Job 3 is firefighter ~ I like it because it's exciting and I get to help people ~ I hate the politics.
I love AND hate my job. I hate it because it is very tedious and difficult. I love it because it is challenging and I make a difference in the world (I work in victim services). I am also a good example of someone doing something a little different than what I went to college for. That said, I am continuing my education to get back into my original field. Regardless, sometimes changing careers can make a big difference in your outlook, but be careful! Sometimes it turns out it isn't the career that is the problem, it is YOU.
