If you work for a staffing agency, do you list the agency on your resume?

If I work for the agency Volt at a Texas Instruments job do I have to put:
Volt (Texas Instruments)?

Answers:
I am in HR and it causes issues when people put my company down when they never worked for us, but were on contract. We are not in a situation to verify the employment.

Put down Volt under employer, the Volt recruiter you worked with under supervisor. And under job duties put down "contracted to Texas Instr. working in their XYZ department, reporting to ABC supervisor". That leaves no guess work. The work number should be volt.

But the TX Inst supervisor can be a reference for you, if they agree to it.
I would say yes. You are not an employee of TI, therefore their HR department would not be able to answer any questions if anyone were to check your references. List the staffing agency as the employer, then list what companies you worked for/jobs you held while employed through the agency.
Until you roll over as an employee of Texas Instruments, you do need to use Volt as a contact/reference, but need to use Texas Instruments as place of employment :) I just asked my employment agency about this last week. However, if you don't want wherever you are sending the resume to know that you might be under contract with a staffing agency, I'd leave it out!
Yes, because you want the "gaps" to be filled in. However, instead of naming the company, insert the name of the temporary hiring firm was actually the employee with the actual records.other wise the company may say you have never been an employee there, which is actually true since they are the ones cutting your check.
