You can get your tax back. You have to ring the inland revenue. Make sure you do this or you may not get the right tax back.
you should sort it out with your employer, I think there is a form you need to fill out to stop the emergency tax, and yes you should get it back.
speak to the inland revenue. They will be able to sort this out for you and advise you how you get the rebate.
You will get the money back - if you ring the tax office, you should have a 'personal' tax person who will be dealing with your income so speak the him/her and I have always found them to be helpful (shock, I know!). Emergency tax can be very high so get it sorted for your own sake.
