Good IT-related job for someone w/ tech background and loves to write?

I have over 10 years of experience in technical services/infrastructure services (tech support, rollouts, Windows OS, network admin) but want to get out of the day to day techie work now. Got my MBA and PMP cert recently. Love to write, also like presenting, have great communication skills and very articulate (unlike many IT techs). What would be a good next job for me given this experience and my talents? Thanks for responding.

Answers:
You should be a technical writer. a lot of companies are looking for one professional writer who knows technical stuff himself.
If you are interested in guideline/training doc, that would be great too...
If you are hired in IT, you could also offer them your assistant with writing standards for either coding or documentation.
it's almost techy kind of work and at the same time, it's not.
You might consider applying for a web editor. Just what I do now. You'd still be "IT" and have a great opportunity to write as much as you'd want to.
You have been into support for long time. This is the right time to move into management as you have completed your PMP. To start with you may choose to become an IT manager. Or if you are a tech savy then I would suggest you get into a role of an Architect / consultant.

Cheers~!
I recommend getting into sales. Now that you have the hands-on technical background, you can use that foundation and your presentation skills to sell the technology to others. One of the things that most IT sales people lack is practical experience. Any sales person that can actually walk the walk is usually 150% more successful that somebody who just recites the brochures.
