need to know first before i make my big move, this will be my last move to anyplace at all.
i want to settle down and hope this is a good move for me and my family?

Answer:
There are a LOT of areas around the Atlanta area. Check out those areas before making in final decisions. Just about all major cities are in need of more social workers.. but check out the smaller towns surrounding the big ones as well. I lived in Marietta Ga for a couple of years and it's only about 30 min (or so) drive to Atlanta. Check out other states too.Like Nashville Tn, Huntsville (Or Birmingham)Al. Of course it depends too just where you're really looking for.If Georgia's your goal then check out the surroundings of Atlanta and the smaller towns around there. You can do a google/ask.com search to get some numbers and stuff.
Good luck on your endeavor! Social work is Good!
You may want to go to a rural area in Georgia; large cities already have a lot of social workers.
I live outside of Atlanta. I have live in Dallas tx, Chicago, and a few more cities.Atlanta beats them all handsdown.
I heard that GA has a lot of jobs and they definitely need social workers, but it would be a good idea if you did a little more research before making the final decision. By the way do you have a bachelor's or master's? What type of jobs that will be available to you will depend on what type of degree you have.
Georgia needs social workers, lots of jobs in Atlanta. However, I would urge you to check out the areas you are considering applying for a position at. Do they have a high turnover rate? If so, why? Then make your decision.
