What is more effective in getting a job ? Applying online , by mail, or in person ? Try and give a numerical v
Answer:
Most places, if you go in person you won't get to see a person with hiring authority anyway, you'll just be asked to leave your resume with the HR department or the receptionist.
If it's a very small company, you might actually see someone who has input to the decision-making.
The most recent person I hired sent resume by email, the previous person, by mail. If someone had showed up in person (at our very small facility) I'd have talked to them, but would not have been more or less likely to hire them.
One thing that will knock someone out of my consideration is a sloppy resume, and/or typos.
This is of course just one person's opinion.
What would you pay more attentiion to, spam, a letter or a person?
