What does the "expo" position in a full service restaurant consists of? Responsibilities etc..?
Answers:
They are the ones that make sure that all is running well in the back, and that all food goes out looking the way it is supposed to look...ie; potatoes make sure everything is on it that was ordered
expedite keeps things moving
The expiditer is the person link between the cooks and the servers...they make sure that the food goes out right and the servers have everything they need to do their job...it's like you are a server's 'back-up'
You are the link between kitchen and front of house. When the order is almost complete, you look at it,judge what else needs to go on it. Look for mistakes.make sure what is supposed to be there is, then call or ring your server to get their order.Someplaces will have the expeditor help servers carry out the food if the order is large. You may also be in charge of bagging call-in orders
