What would be a good resource in terms of doing research into getting this logo printed on T-shirts, hats and other accessories? Where do I start? Any help would be appreciated.

Rick, congratulatoins on coming up with a logo you think is cute. Just remember, cute is in the eyes of the beholder, and it may not be cute to others.
Ask around. Show the logo to others, that are not in your circle of friends, since they would be prone to agree with you out of friendship. Go somewhere where age appropriate people hang out and get their opionion and imput.
Have a small run of the items printed, and try to sell them. That way, if they don't sell, you will not be out a lot and won't be stuck with a big inventory.
Check other web sites that are selling the items you are wanting to sell. That will give you an idea of what is selling, and the price range you can expect.
