How can I get more impressions on yahoo search marketing?

I am budgeting $60 a month, have 2 popular keywords, willing to pay .35 per click... how / what can i tweak to get more impressions? I only have 2 keywords because the others weren't doing much. So I kept the two hottest keywords. I have a decent quality index as well, 3 out of 5 bars.

THANKS!!

I work at a web company and we do sponsored marketing with Yahoo!, so I might be able to help. :)

Right off the bat, you need to develop more keywords. Think about variations of what you already have...are you a location-based service? If so, try adding in some location-specific keywords (for example, if you sell real estate in New York, you may want to try "real estate new york", "real estate buffalo new york", etc). If you're selling a product, think about ways of describing that product. Try to make them as specific as possible...statistically, people are searching with at least three and four word queries these days, rather than the standard one or two (so if you're selling guitars, people aren't just searching "guitars"...they're searching "electric guitars fender", "electric guitars fender stratocaster", "electric guitars fender sunburst", etc)...and don't worry if people don't seem to be typing them in...the more keywords you have, the greater the audience you're targeting, and you never know...a keyterm that rarely gets searched could turn into a sale someday.

Of course, if you've got more keyterms, you should probably up your budget. Most of our clients have 100-200+ keyterms and run a budget of about $400 a month...a bit steep for some people, but it depends on what you're trying to sell. If you're not willing to up your budget by a lot (although I'd definitely recommend it...even if you only double it, that's a lot more impressions), then work on refining your keyterms. Web marketing is an experimental advertising device, so you need to play around with it until you find what's really going to work for you. Feel free to add some new keyterms and variations...if they don't work out, you can always remove them.

Hope this helps! :)
