Would Australia be a good market for Wal-Mart? Why?

Wal-Mart the world's biggest retailer, which last week gave up on Germany, is reportedly looking at trying its luck in Australia and is sizing up our two biggest supermarket operators, Coles Myer and Woolworths.

Answer:
Run them out now! I don't care how you get the word out to those who matter on this decision, but run them out! They are not great for helping local economies! They run people out of small businesses and local grocery stores wind up closing because of them. The atmosphere is just not upscale at all; and the overall concept of Wal-Mart though great business wise for the Walton's; it hurts the rest of the world in the pocketbook who shop there; because saving is not the way to wealth or even riches.

If I ever shop at Wal-Mart anymore, it is because they are the only store open at the time I go in; most around here are 24 hour stores. Otherwise, they can keep thier products.
We already have enough crap stores.we don't need any more American chains..

Yes, because Kangaroo purses are back in style and Wal Mart can make a killing (no pun intended!!) on these purses!
