Is there an "Opt Out" option offered by the Fed Trade Com. to stop mail offers ex.credit cards etc.?

Answer:
I don't believe the Federal Trade Commission has an opt-out list for direct mail, but the Direct Mail Association does. visit http://www.dmaconsumers.org/cgi/offmaili. for information.
I thought I heard such a topic on public radio this morning but was driving so I didn't write it down, I went to the FTC site but couldn't find info there either. The story was that you could opt out of receiving credit card offers. I'll watch these answers in case anyone else has the info!
