Does anyone have any suggestions for how a company can reduce the expenses involved with differing marketing strategies around the globe?

Answers:
How wide is your distribution network? how is it done. Simplest solution, have your distributors/ country/regional agent come up with their marketing plan and costing. subsidise the cost,

Do not waste money by advertsing the same method world wide with the same copy as local believes and cultures do differ and have their own social taboos.

If you can afford it speak to the local but reputable marketing/branding/advertising counselors.

I would offer assistantance but i have too much on my plate now.

Research the ROI on each approach to see the effectiveness of each. Measure the potential return on each approach - restated, how much room for growth (increased market penetration) is there via each technique> Generally, you can only compete on price, product (features), place and promotion.

You need to calculate ROI for each of your marketig program to determine the effectiveness.

But most marketers make a make a fallcy by just capturing the returns on different scales.

You can only compare the returns fro different marketing programs only if that is on same scale. May be one marketing program aim is just to spread brand awareness, other mkting program may aim at generating sales etc...

All the aims have to be in terms of dollars. for ex you need to convert the brand awareness score into dollars. You can get the conversion factor by doing littile reaserach.

Doing so will help you to examine the efficiency of th marketing programs under one light. Thus u can strat eliminating the most inefficient ones
