Does anybody have any experience with getting a new idea on the market?
Answer:
Venture capitalists and angel investors. Each state (I'm assuming you're an American) usually has multiple clubs and organizations comprising them. You will need to make a good business plan, and include the fact that since you are an inventor, not a businessman, you will be hiring someone to run the company for you with minimal input from yourself.
If you can show that the product has a good chance for commercial success, some VC or angel investor is going to go for it.

Hmmm. I've got the next great revolutionary idea too. I'm in the same boat you are. My question is how do you find a company to buy your product?
