What do you think of door to door salesmen/women and call sales.?
Answer:
Unless you know who is at the door ,,,Don't open it, for your own safety first thing. there are not to many door to door people still selling out there, most are doing flyers on doors and the cars at shopping centers etc.
you can purchase a peep hole for your front door at most hardware stores and it really doesn;t take much to put one in.
just dont put it in backwards. hahaha
Calls" put your number on the national do not call list, and if they do call you ,it can cost them in fines of up to $10,000.00 for each offense
You may need to call your telephone provider to get the number for the do not call list ,,,
you will have to update that every 5 years i believe,,,
Awful. It should be illegal.
they don't stand a chance
The answer to this question really depends on 'why' you want to know this?
Do you want to become a door to door sales person?
If that is your REAL question, I would ask you: "Is there any reason why you would WANT to do that?"
If you LOVE talking to strangers and can handle lots of rejection.then be a door to door sales person.
However, I do feel as the person on the 'receiving end' it is like unwanted telemarketingl.
Very annoying.
Hope that helps :)
annoying, especially now when the call centres are in India and they cannot pronounce your name
and hard to understand
and I hate anyone coming to the door
try http://www.myway.com
they have no popups at least
Well I actually feel realy bad for the people that have that job. There paychecks depend on us,and when they call us or go door to door we just are as rude as we can be..Thats not nice they are just trying to make a living..So be nice to your telemarketers and If they become to much of a problem tell them to take you off there calling list and then they will be legally bound to do so But you have to say it just like that "Take me off your calling list"
old fashioned and wast of time. they are surfing the web thus will not hear call or bell anyways
its unfair to give such answers, door to door salesmen or sales women are fine, infact this job will give you lots of experience on how to handle yourself as well as others, how to interact with strangers & persuade them, i don't know who you are but let me inform you that some of the great business leaders (also one of the highest paid in the world) began their careers this way. there is always a downside to everything, but the upside is also there always, i have told you but a few of them & trust me if you begin your career this way you have no place else to look but upwards, (know what i mean) don't let negative comments rock you or intimidate you in any way, this job anyways would be temporary if you stay put & you'll come out a better & a well rounded marketing executive. All the best for your endeavor! Cheers
in the civilized society civilized people respect other person's privacy. we have build residences to relax with due privacy and market places to do our trade. I think door to door sales call is encroachment and should be legally banned. telemarketing or SMS are also in the same category. I my self manufacture water purifiers (Igneaz jal- An honest water purifier) and in India leading brand does door to door marketing but i tell my staff not to do that. we put stalls at shops or on the road side and collect lead calls and then we call them and take prior appointment and then visit them to close the sell.
Well. . I was once a door to door salesman myself one summer while I was going to college. I was a door to door dildo salesman. My presentation was I would bang the lady of the house and then have her try one of the dildos I was selling. I was too damn good in the sack however and couldn't sell any dildos as the ladies just wanted me again! Oh well. . . I was paid salary and had a very fun summer!
Love'em as long as I'm not home when they stop by. Luckily, they are not that common any more since it is way cheaper to do phone sales (also charming) or mail, etc.
