What's your opinion about having the magnet on the phonebooks?

I've never thought about that, but sounds like a good idea. It depends on costs of the magnet and the response you expect. i would test market the magnet idea with a small population first to see if it works then go with the phone book people.
The business I work for advertises less in the phone book each year because it's used less each year and there are SO many ad sources to reach people. Best way to decide would be to ask your customers how they heard about you. If most are yellow page users, then that would be the way to go. My guess is that they get their info from many sources, and the Yellow Pages should be just one of many advertising mediums you use.
