Where can I find something in writing that states that expiration dates on coupons are invalid in California?

I want to be able to use my coupons without the stores telling me they're expired even though it is past the expiration date on the coupon.

Answer:
There's an expiration on coupons for a reason. You may want to use them AFTER the fact, but there is no law saying they must be redeemed in the state of CA regardless of the expiration date.

Novel concept - try using them before the expiration date and don't argue with the clerk about it if they're expired. Everyone in line behind you will wish bad things upon you..
You are confused - coupons are not covered under the law you refer to. It is only gift cards and gift certificates that are exempt, not coupons.
