Where do you go to find new business in an area?

I am looking for new business opening up. I have tried the taxes but i have not been able to find them. If anyone has had any luck with contact lists for kentucky I would greatly appreciate the help.

Answer:
Haven't looked in Ky., but I'd check with your local chamber of commerce.
Ask your local Chamber of Commerce. The smartest business people always register and take part in their local Chamber of Commerce. They will be a great resource.
on here and search for diff thing in the area code..also myspace is another good resorce
Go to the Chamber of Commerce in the area that you are looking for. They will have a listing of all the businesses in an area. They can also tell you what kind of business it is(i.e. sub chapter S corporation, privately owned etc.) Good Luck!
Chamber of Commerce. City planning office, real estate offices.
check in the newspaper ads.. business filing dba and will give the locations
I would suggest you to go and speak to one of the banks, so they can take your money and invest it in something good. Do as though you're interested in depositing in the bank so they tell you all about what they're gonna do with your money. You dont really have to deposit the money in the bank or you may (thats really upto you) but you'll definitely end up having a wide idea about where to invest or how to find new businesses. Trust me, banks know everything!!
