Global Xchange is an international volunteering exchange programme which brings highly motivated young people together to live and work in host communities in their own and in another country.
It is a six-month programme which gives young people from different countries a unique
opportunity to work together, to develop and share valuable skills, and to make a practical contribution where it is needed in local communities.
The volunteers and the communities where
they live and work have the opportunity of
global perspective and to work for positive change in a diverse world.
Global Xchange is run by a partnership of three organisations: CSV, The British Council and VSO who are all committed to the idea that international volunteer exchanges can develop active global citizens and build cross-cultural understanding.
How does Global Xchange work?
Global Xchange works with young people
aged 18 to 25
Volunteers are selected in the UK and in
partner countries
They live and work together in the UK for
three months, and in the partner country for three months
