Does an employer need written consent to use your image?

My (ex)employer demanded that the managers be available for a Saturday photo shot and used the photos for the website. I no longer work there yet my photo is still in use.

Answer:
He would have to edit out your face from the snap or remove your snap if you do not wish to be on display. Unless he has specified on the website that the photo pertains to the time period you were actually employed in which case it is a factually accurate statement and is a matter of public record. Then you can only request him to remove it and it is his discretion to do so.
