Looking for good customer incentives for trade shows and events. What's worked for you?

If you regularly attend trade shows as a vendor or participant, perhaps you can share some of the "gimics" that have gotten you to go to a booth. Standard fair is fine, but I'm looking for some more unusual games, contests, etc. This can apply to things that have drawn people to special promotional events or festivals. Thanks.

Answer:
My sister is a jewelry designer and trade shows are her bread and butter. She invites my flawless model looking sister to model her wares. She's got a sweet, flirtatious spirit. Okay, that mayn't work for you, but people need bags at this event and a large "FREE" banner will get ANYONE to come over. Raffle off prizes at different times per day and ask to either 1. use the loud speaker to announce winners or 2. get a bullhorn, if that is allowed. One of the best freebies a salesperson ever gave me was his imprinted nailfile! I use it daily and think of him, and yes, he was one of my trusted vendors. I got a light up red flashing arrow from one gal before. That was nice. You can also get a fishbowl promising the thing on the little fortune cookie like piece of paper that each visitor pulls out, to that visitor. It could be just a quote or it could be a prize. Big colorful pictures at trade shows (pix of faces, not just things) are big draws too.
Have fun, good luck and I hope your business grows exponentially! Other Questions and Answers:
