You don't say just what kind of home based business you have.
I have changed my focus in the last several months to a new concept in advertiseing. Rather than run after people, I now use some techniques to have them run after me. I build relationships by giving them the tools and help to build their own list of names. I belong to a group of leaders who are helping the little guy become "Little guy Guru's". We are being very successful in getting people to contact us to find out how they can use the same techniques for their business.
My experience is that all those leads that I paid mega bucks for didn't produce anyway near what my new methods do.

Does your town have a local paper? Usually they will do a "write up" about your new business and that will get the word out. It helps if you write the article, send along a picture and ask them to contact you because you are so excited to tell the community about your new home based business.
