Why yahoo limit the point to 100, there shouldn"t be any limit?

it defeteats the purpose of this useful site

Answer:
Probably to put a limit on people logging on and asking a trillion stupid questions and loading the site down with junk questions and answers, thus interfering with legit questions and answers. People with high point counts are more likely to be more legit users instead of people hopping on to make junk posts, and thus, can be trusted more.
exacly then we could have more points and fun i agree with u 100%
I would presume for the same reason all rules and limitations are put in place. to prevent abuse.

Unfortunately, some people only care about stocking up points, you would think they were going to win a car or something, rather than asking "real" questions, or actually thinking and giving a thoughtful, sound answer.

Instead they quip with rude, senseless remarks that show their immaturity. So, by limiting their "garbage" more people can actually be helped by people who do take the time to really ponder the person's question, or do some research on a subject for someone who really does need a question answered.

I guarantee, if you are actually sincere in your use of this site, 100 points in a day is sufficient.. unless you have no life at all.
