The recycling products is one of the competing forces (threat of substitutes) that affects manufacturers. Most of the manufacturers of steel decided to sell on the concept "Original is good and recycled can never promise the quality". They tried to compete against recycling instead of welcoming the trend. But as of now almost all the manufacturers have opened a channel for recycling. They use scrap, used plastic or paper or wat ever for that matter to make the new ones. They use it a source of cost advantage too.
So manufacturers have imbibed recycling into their operations along with the original operations
